I need to file a claim with my RBP insurance policy – what do I do?

If you have not already, please contact the property management team to inform them of the situation. To file your claim, go to filemyclaim.io and fill out the claim form. You’ll need to list your name/contact information, the address and unit number of your rental, our company name (Domain Property Management), and the description of the loss. 

What if I have my own insurance coverage?

You are allowed to choose your own insurance policy from a third party. Once approved, a $10.95 deduction from the cost of the RBP will be applied to your monthly charges. You must upload the certificate of insurance for your outside policy, which will be reviewed to ensure it meets our insurance requirements.  In order to be in compliance with our insurance requirements, the policy must:

    1. Be written by a AAA-rated insurance company

    2. Include no less than $100,000 in landlord liability coverage

    3. You must add the following as an additional interest in the policy:

Does using my own insurance remove the cost of the Resident Benefit Package from my lease?

Insurance is only a part of the benefit package. If you choose to supply your own outside insurance and it is approved, your monthly RBP cost will be reduced by $10.95. It does not completely remove your benefits package. 

I submitted my insurance policy, but my tenant portal doesn’t show the adjustment to my monthly RBP cost. What’s going on?

Your insurance coverage via the RBP is active from day one of your lease, and renewed monthly every following month on the first day of the month. When your coverage is approved, the charge will be adjusted by the start of your next month, and your existing coverage through RBP remains active through the end of the current month. If you have not received an email stating that your coverage has been approved or you need additional help, please contact us at tenants@domainpm.com.
